Challenges
The University of Adelaide Strategic Projects Team (Education Transformation, Division of Academic and Student Engagement (DASE)) would previously receive Excel-based reports from the Finance team.
This data would then need to be manually incorporated into regular project reports by the Project Manager to inform the DASE Leadership team as well as several Governance Committees.
Solution
Strategic Projects sought the expertise of InfoSpark to create a collaborative and automation driven project management solution.
InfoSpark identified an opportunity to implement Business-integrated Modern Project and Portfolio Management by launching a Smartsheet based PMO as well as creating an automated data flow from an Oracle Financials Product through to Smartsheet using Data Shuttle.
Results
This not only created significant effort efficiencies and a standardised, effective project delivery framework but also improved the quality of financial data available to project managers, allowing budgets to be more effectively managed.
